Our heritage journey extended into Jordan. The first week covers the Galilee, Jerusalem, Bethlehem, Masada and the Dead Sea. Cross the Sheikh Hussein Bridge for Jerash, an Amman city tour, a full day at Petra, and the Madaba mosaic map before returning to Tel Aviv.
Land at Ben Gurion, meet the group representative and transfer to Tel Aviv. Evening at leisure. Overnight in Tel Aviv.
Wander Jaffa's ancient alleys, then drive the Via Maris through Caesarea and Megiddo—biblical Armageddon. Descend to the Sea of Galilee. Overnight in Tiberias.
Visit Yardenit baptismal site, Capernaum, Tabgha and Mount of Beatitudes. Continue to Banias (Caesarea Philippi) in the Golan Heights. Overnight in Tiberias.
Sail the Sea of Galilee (conditions permitting), then visit Nazareth's Basilica of the Annunciation, the Wedding Church at Cana and Beit Alpha's stunning synagogue mosaic. Drive via the Jordan Valley to Jerusalem. Overnight in Jerusalem.
Begin at the Mount of Olives, descend to Gethsemane, then cross to Mount Zion for King David's Tomb and the Room of the Last Supper. Enter the Old City for the Western Wall, Via Dolorosa and Church of the Holy Sepulchre. Overnight in Jerusalem.
Visit Yad Vashem and Ein Karem, then cross to Bethlehem. Return to explore the Israel Museum's Shrine of the Book and Second Temple model. Overnight in Jerusalem. *Subject to security conditions.
Journey through the Judean Desert to Qumran, ascend Masada by cable car, then float in the Dead Sea. Overnight in Jerusalem.
Cross into Jordan at Sheikh Hussein Bridge. Explore Jerash, the spectacular Decapolis city 45 km north of Amman, then tour Amman's Citadel and Roman Amphitheatre. Overnight in Amman.
Drive south to Wadi Musa, then walk (or ride horseback) through the Siq into Petra. Explore the Treasury, tombs, obelisks and the altar. Overnight in Petra.
Return to Petra for a second day at a leisurely pace. Visit the Monastery (Ad Deir), Royal Tombs and the higher places of sacrifice. Overnight in Petra.
Stop in Madaba for the remarkable 6th-century Holy Land mosaic map, then ascend Mount Nebo for Moses' view of the Promised Land. Cross back to Israel and drive to Tel Aviv. Overnight in Tel Aviv.
After breakfast, transfer to Ben Gurion Airport for your departure flight.
