Travel north through Caesarea's Roman ruins where Paul awaited trial, Mount Carmel's Muhraka where Elijah confronted Baal's prophets, and Megiddo—biblical Armageddon. Explore Acre's vaulted Crusader halls and ancient harbour. Overnight in a Galilee kibbutz.
Sail across the Sea of Galilee from Magdala, see the 1st-century 'Jesus boat' at Yigal Alon Center, walk Capernaum's basalt ruins and St. Peter's church, visit Tabgha and Mount of Beatitudes, end at Yardenit baptismal site. Overnight in a Galilee kibbutz.
Visit Cana where Jesus turned water into wine, Nazareth's Basilica of the Annunciation built over Mary's cave, then descend to Beit She'an—a grand Decapolis city with colonnaded streets and intact Roman theatre. Transfer to Jerusalem for three nights.
Begin on the Mount of Olives overlooking Jerusalem, descend to Gethsemane and the Church of All Nations, cross to Mount Zion for King David's Tomb and the Last Supper room. Enter the Old City for the Western Wall and Via Dolorosa, ending at the Church of the Holy Sepulchre. Overnight in Jerusalem.
Visit Ein Karem's hillside village birthplace of John the Baptist, explore the Israel Museum and Shrine of the Book housing the Dead Sea Scrolls. Cross into Bethlehem for Shepherds' Field and the Church of the Nativity built over Jesus' birth grotto.* Overnight in Jerusalem. *Bethlehem visits subject to current security conditions; an equivalent biblical site is substituted if restricted.
Travel through the Judean Desert to Qumran where the Dead Sea Scrolls were found, ascend Masada by cable car—Herod's clifftop fortress and final zealot stronghold. Float in the Dead Sea, Earth's lowest point, famous for buoyancy and mineral-rich mud. Overnight in Jerusalem.
Transfer to Ben Gurion Airport after breakfast for your departure flight.
