Cross into Jordan at Sheikh Hussein Bridge and explore Jerash, the Decapolis city of colonnaded streets and hilltop temples. Tour Amman's Citadel and Roman Amphitheatre. Overnight in Amman.
Visit Mount Nebo where Moses viewed the Promised Land, then drive south to Petra. Enter the rose-red rock city through the Siq, explore the Treasury, tombs and altar. Overnight in Petra.
Tour Wadi Rum's otherworldly desert in open Bedouin trucks, visiting Lawrence Spring and Khazali Canyon. Drive north to Madaba for the 6th-century Byzantine mosaic map of the Holy Land. Overnight in Amman.
Cross the Jordan River into Israel and transfer to Jerusalem, Tel Aviv or Ben Gurion Airport for your onward flight.
